Available Positions

Attorneys - Mineola

Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of liability litigation experience, including motion practice, depositions and court appearances in the five boroughs. Automobile liability and/or construction labor law experience a plus. Excellent writing and analytical skills required. Only candidates with relevant prior experience should apply. Attorneys – Manhattan

Candidates must have 2 to 5 years insurance coverage litigation experience, including the ability to handle all court appearances, motion practice, and depositions, as well as be able to handle a full caseload independently.  NY admission is required and NJ admission is a plus.  Please state your salary requirements in your cover letter and forward with your resume to sendlawresumes@gmail.com. Office Manager/Legal Assistant – Mineola

Experienced Office Manager/Legal Assistant for our Mineola Office. Position reports to partner in charge of office and Executive Director. Qualified candidate will have prior management experience, be people oriented and able to effectively supervise office staff and day to day operations. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills, and strong attention to detailed required. Minimum of three (3) years of litigation assistant experience, preferably insurance defense and commercial litigation, strong working knowledge of MS Office applications. Additional responsibilities will include creating, revising and proofreading legal documents and correspondence, as well as processing medical authorizations, while working with multiple attorneys.

Assistant Managing Clerk - Mineola

Candidates must be qualified to handle the calendar for attorneys (adjourning/confirming: conferences, depositions, motions); e-file court documents; docket mail. Must have a general understanding of court rules and court orders. Qualified Candidate will be organized and reliable and be able to multi-task. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience; insurance defense firm experience is preferred. Salary commensurate with experience. Attractive benefits package.

Medical Records Clerk – Mineola

This position will entail processing authorizations, following up for medical records, and some basic paralegal work, in litigation field. Candidate MUST be detailed oriented and very organized. There is significant opportunity for growth for an individual who is motivated, hardworking, and interested in learning.

Paralegal – Manhattan

Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience including drafting discovery documents, coordinating with expert witnesses, analyzing medical records and trial preparation. Candidates should be highly proficient in Microsoft office and be able to manage the demands of a large caseload while working independently. Working knowledge of Lexis Advanced and/or Westlaw preferred.

Paralegal – Mineola

Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience including drafting discovery documents, coordinating with expert witnesses, analyzing medical records and trial preparation. Candidates should be highly proficient in Microsoft office and be able to manage the demands of a large caseload while working independently. Legal Assistant – Mineola

Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years of litigation secretarial experience. Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) . Must be able to create, revise and proofread legal documents and correspondence, as well as know legal document layout and format. Prepare TOC and TOA. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and assemble information into proper legal format from outlined instructions or established procedures. Candidates are expected to work independently in the absence of specific instructions; must have good communication skills; be able to work well with others; organize and prioritize work; and work for multiple attorneys. E-Filing experience a plus.

Billing Coordinator – Mineola

Experienced legal biller to prepare and distribute pre-bill print-outs, edit pre-bills including time descriptions, write-offs/write downs of unbilled time or costs in accordance with firm policy; prepare draft and final invoices for billing attorney approval; prepare, submit and monitor e-bills; review and ensure compliance with outside Counsel Billing Guidelines; follow up on A/R. process appeals with e-billing vendors; obtain necessary authorizations for write-downs/write-offs for fees or disbursements; resolve client issues such as e-billing, cost back-up or other matters; respond to client inquiries/questions in a timely manner and escalate issues to Billing Manager/Billing Attorneys as needed; prepare various reports and analyses as requested. Strong attention to detail required. Experience with Omega Software a plus.
