Associate Attorneys - Mineola
Immediate opportunities for candidates with 1 – 3 years experience and candidates with 3 – 6 years experience with a solid track record in insurance defense litigation, including depositions, motion practice and court appearances in the five boroughs and Long Island. Excellent writing and analytical skills required. Automobile liability and/or construction labor law experience a plus. Only candidates with relevant prior experience should apply. Associate Attorney – White Plains
Havkins Rosenfeld Ritzert & Varriale, LLP, is seeking a full time attorney for its White Plains office, who can handle a full case load, as well as take a case through preparation for trial and trial. Candidate must have a solid work ethic, work independently, have good analytical skills, and have experience in working in insurance defense, including communicating with clients. Good writing skills, and experience with all motion practice, depositions, court appearances, and mediations is also required. Should have an interest in handling toxic tort cases, as well as other types of cases. Candidate may handle cases in all five boroughs, and ability to handle cases in Westchester, Orange, and Rockland preferred. New York admission is required, Connecticut admission a plus.
Paralegal – Mineola
Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience including drafting discovery documents, coordinating with expert witnesses, analyzing medical records and trial preparation. Candidates should be highly proficient in Microsoft office and be able to manage the demands of a large caseload while working independently. Working knowledge of Lexis Advanced and/or Westlaw preferred.
Legal Assistant – Mineola
Candidates should have a minimum of three (3) years of litigation secretarial experience. Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint) . Must be able to create, revise and proofread legal documents and correspondence, as well as know legal document layout and format. Prepare TOC and TOA. Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions and assemble information into proper legal format from outlined instructions or established procedures. Candidates are expected to work independently in the absence of specific instructions; must have good communication skills; be able to work well with others; organize and prioritize work; and work for multiple attorneys. E-Filing experience a plus.
File Clerk/Office Assistant – Mineola
Responsibilities include maintaining and organizing a large volume files of litigation documents on daily basis. Other duties include scanning of documents, photocopying, processing mail, and general office duties. Must be reliable, accurate, able to multi-task and have a cooperative work ethic. Prior law firm experience preferred

Candidates in the legal studies or paralegal programs are encouraged to apply. Some prior knowledge of law firm filing/documentation required.
Office Manager/Legal Assistant
Qualified candidate will have prior management experience, be people oriented and able to effectively supervise office staff and day to day operations and maintain a balance between Office Manager and Legal Assistant aspects of the position. Must have the ability to exercise initiative; apply policies and principles to make decisions; solve problems and deal with a variety of situations; prioritize and coordinate administrative support, schedule work assignments and direct the work of subordinate employees. Excellent organizational skills and communication skills, and strong attention to detailed required. Minimum of three (3) years of litigation assistant experience, preferably insurance defense and commercial litigation, strong working knowledge of MS Office applications. Additional responsibilities will include creating, revising and proofreading legal documents and correspondence, while working with multiple attorneys. Prepare TOC and TOA. E--Filing a plus.
