Cassandra Pelissier-Donovan has more than 15 years of experience litigating high profile cases focusing on insurance defense, including premise liability, municipal liability, toxic torts/asbestos litigation, insurance fraud and coverage litigation, and appellate advocacy.

Cassandra utilizes her diverse professional background and vast experience to represent clients in all phases of the litigation process. During her career, Ms. Donovan has also successfully defended officers and directors of housing cooperatives and other housing corporations in professional liability and breach of contract cases in New York State jurisdictions and before the New York City Commission on Human Rights.

Prior to embarking on her law career, Cassandra was the assistant director of commercial revitalization at a local economic development group where she devised and implemented public-private initiatives to foster targeted and sustainable economic development and commercial revitalization ventures in various New York City neighborhoods. Cassandra is fluent in French, and fully conversant in Spanish. Currently, Cassandra serves as a Trustee of the Board of WAGE International (“Women and Girls’ Education International Project”).

Cassandra received a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School, and holds both a master’s degree in Urban Planning/Policy Analysis & Economic Development and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Comparative Politics & Philosophy from New York University, where she began her studies as a Trustees Scholar.

Cassandra is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
